Summary

This inheritance dispute arose when Alberta Zaragoza-Morgan sought delivery of her claimed inheritance share (Lots 871 and 943) from her deceased father's estate. She alleged her father partitioned his properties among his children during his lifetime but did not formally convey her share due to her American citizenship. The Regional Trial Court awarded her Lot 871 but dismissed her claim over Lot 943. The Court of Appeals reversed, awarding both lots to Alberta, finding the deed of sale for Lot 943 was forged. However, the Supreme Court ultimately dismissed the entire case, ruling that proper estate settlement required all indispensable parties (all heirs) to be impleaded for valid collation and legitime determination.
