Herminio Tayag obtained Deeds of Assignment from 35 agricultural tenants/tillers for their tenant rights over lands owned by the Lacson family, paying P50 per square meter with balance payable when legal impediments were removed and landowners agreed to sell. When tenants decided to sell their rights to the landowners instead, Tayag sought preliminary injunction and court-fixed payment period.
