The provision

A partnership begins from the moment of the execution of the contract, unless it is otherwise stipulated. (1679)

Intellegal Wiki · In plain terms

A partnership legally comes into existence the moment the partners complete their contract, unless they agreed on a different starting date. By default, then, the partnership begins when the agreement is executed, not when the business actually starts operating.
