The provision
Illegitimate children other than natural in accordance with article 269 and other than natural children by legal fiction are entitled to support and such successional rights as are granted in this Code. (n)
This provision is superseded for the estate of a person who died on or after 3 August 1988, when the Family Code took effect. Under Article 176 of the Family Code, all illegitimate (nonmarital) children are treated alike, each taking a legitime equal to one-half of that of a legitimate child; the Civil Code's separate categories of illegitimate children (including those referred to in this article) govern only estates of persons who died before that date.
