Parricide. -Any person who shall kill his father, mother, or child, whether legitimate or illegitimate, or any of his ascendants or descendants, or his spouse, shall be guilty of parricide and shall be punished by the penalty of reclusion perpetua to death.

Intellegal Wiki · In plain terms

Defines parricide: killing one's father, mother, or child (legitimate or illegitimate), any other ascendant or descendant, or one's spouse. Because of the close family relationship, it is punished far more severely than an ordinary killing.

As amended: the death penalty was abolished by RA 9346 (2006); where a provision would impose death, the maximum penalty is now reclusion perpetua.
