Yes. Under Article 73 of the Family Code, either spouse may exercise any legitimate profession, occupation, business, or activity without the consent of the other. The other spouse may object only on valid, serious, and moral grounds, and it is the court that decides whether the objection is proper and whether the benefit accrues to the family.
As amended by Republic Act No. 10572 (2013), where the activity benefited the family before any objection, the resulting obligation is enforced against the community property; where the benefit accrued only after a proper objection, the obligation is enforced against the separate property of the spouse who exercised the profession without the other's consent.
